Abstract:
The present paper presents data about the eCommerce in Romania.
The data are reflecting comparative study’s regarding the products, ordering
method and pay method. The number of active e-shops has increased in 2006
by 50% regarding year 2005. This means one e-shop every two days.
Regarding the products, Romania follows the world trend, buying books,
music and electronic components. The study shows also the geographic
distribution of on-line shops. The geographic distribution of on-line shops
shows that the capital city is in the top. In top ten there are 5 counties from
Transilvania province, and two from Moldavia and Muntenia. Timis county is
on the fifth place. In the last eleven places, with only one e-shop, are three
counties from Transilvania, also three from Moldavia and five from
Muntenia.
The main disadvantages of today’s Romanian e-commerce are
insecurity degree, infrastructure, mentality, and ignorance.
