Abstract:
The target of this work is to analyse the competitiveness of the human
capital of the Romanian agriculture. Although the half of population of our
country is employed at this sector, the agriculture produces a tenth part of
the GDP. This sign show with great clarity which is the productiveness of the
sector that offer an important part of the daily subsistences of the consumers.
The most visible result of this situation is the level of the wages got for the
farmers. Of this point of view, the competitiveness of the human national
capital is worse than that of the countries of European Union. But there are
many reasons of believing that this situation can be improved by means of a
few economic policies ones capables of stimulating the private and public
investments in education, new technologies and the protection of the
environment. In this way, the Romanian agriculture can overcome a big
distance between the productiveness of his human capital and that of the
western agrarian systems.
