Abstract:
Although rarely occurring, steel-concrete elements subject to
elongation and centric compression or of low centring error are an
important issue. Their challenging particularities contribute to the full
knowledge of the behaviour of the steel concrete as a material that is still
essential for construction purposes in the 21st century. The present paper is
aimed at providing a thorough analysis of these elements and their behaviour
under centrically-applied stress conditions.
