Evoluţia suprafeţelor forestiere în ocoalele silvice Ciurea şi Podu Iloaiei între anii 1894-2000

Abstract

Land use types and forested surfaces control many interrelations in the geosistem. The present paper analyses the evolution of the forested surfaces from Ciurea and Podu Iloaiei forest perimeters, using topographic maps (editions 1893-1894, 1961-1962, 1983-1985) and satellite images (2000). GIS methods were used so as to pinpoint the changes occurred in the forested surfaces.
