Abstract:
The authors studied the possibility of decontamination of some soils
polluted with petroleum products so as to obtain performante strains, which
shall be applied in a final phase, in an experimental field through
bioaugmentation method. The paper analyzes the capacity of biodegradation
of diesel fuel by some microbial strains isolated and purified from a soil
contaminated with petroleum products. These strains have been internal
cultivated, on liquid medium with synthetic formula, with diesel fuel as
unique carbon source. The biodegradation potential of petroleum products
by selected microorganisms was established, and superior strains were
identified.
