dc.description.abstract During the transition period dairy cattle are more susceptible to disease because many aspects of the immune system are altered by uncontrolled inflammation, a condition that has as a cause the metabolic adaptation of the cows. Inflammation and oxidative stress are interlinked, and contribute to the evolution of reproduction diseases of dairy cows. Our review highlights to light scientific data on oxidative stress and reproductive disorders in dairy cows. The information collected is significant for animal welfare and reproduction, and it will create the foundation for future research on the connection between oxidative stress, reproductive diseases, and nutrition in cows. en_US
